Why
are the Center’s services so unique?
The
Center’s services are not clinically unique, in that
skilled, licensed therapists and trainers work with each client,
using established, clinical protocol to build results, improve
quality of life, and help each client reach physical and emotional
gains not thought possible in acute care settings. What does
make Challenge Center so unique is that services are provided
on a sliding scale basis, serving those of all income levels,
with treatment provided on a time-scale in line with each
participant’s individual needs.

Will
my insurance pay for the Center’s services?
No,
Challenge Center does not currently accept third party (insurance)
reimbursement. Most clients have exhausted the limited insurance
allowance for therapeutic care during acute or chronic phases
of illness and disability, finding out-of-pocket extended
services financially out of reach.

|
How
can Challenge Center afford to provide such high quality services
at affordable prices?
Challenge
Center, as a 501©3 charitable organization, provides
its vital, affordable programs and services with the help
of financial assistance from generous donors, including individual
contributors, corporate funding and grants provided through
local and national foundations.

How
many Challenge Centers are there?
Currently,
the original Challenge Center is located in the city of La
Mesa, in San Diego County. Its first satellite services have
opened within the City of San Diego, and several more satellites
are planned over the coming months and years. A long-term
goal of the Center’s business plan is to expand nationally.

I’m
a family member of someone who was severely injured, who received
remarkable acute care, but who is now home and finding no
affordable alternatives for extended physical therapy or training.
I see a definite decline in his level of strength and health.
What do we do?
You
are why the Center exists. Contact our lead therapist and
discuss enrollment choices in the Challenge Center programs.
This process will require your own physician’s approval
and a physical therapy evaluation, provided by Challenge Center
staff to ensure the best possible plan of care.
