| Mark
Wiedenfeld,
is
a
34
–
year
-
old
husband,
father
of
three,
and
now
a
T-4
paraplegic.
Almost
three
years
ago,
one
day
after
his
wedding,
Mark
took
a
spill
in
the
desert
on
his
dirt
bike.
After
two
surgeries,
and
a
two-
month
stay
in
the
hospital,
doctors
told
him
he
would
never
walk
again.
When
insurance
denied
him
further
rehabilitation,
Mark
found
Challenge
Center.
Mark
has
been
riding
the
computerized
functional
electrical
stimulation
cycle
(CFESC)
and
working
out
using
our
adapted
equipment.
As
you
can
see
from
the
photo,
Mark
doesn’t
let
much
get
in
his
way
when
he
has
a
job
to
accomplish,
such
as
repairing
his
roof.
He
has
now
gained
enough
strength
to
begin
physical
therapy
at
Challenge
Center
to
work
on
his
walking.
He
is
happy
to
have
access
to
both
the
CFESC
equipment
and
physical
therapy
to
speed
his
recovery
and
reach
his
goal
of
walking
completely
on
his
own
some
day.
Mark
says
that
Challenge
Center
is
keeping
him
on
target
with
his
continuing
recovery. |
